Stem Cell & PRP

What are Stem Cells
Stem cells are primitive cells which can be transformed into different kinds of tissue cells and organ cells in vitro and in vivo. Therefore, stem cells are often used for repairing and regenerating damaged even aged tissues and organs. Commonly used stem cells are derived from adipose (fat) tissues (autologous: from yourself), bone marrows (either autologous or heterogenous: from a donor) and umbilical cord blood (often heterogenous). These stem cells are safely used for varieties of clinical and cosmetic purposes with minimal if not all side effects.

What is PRP
PRP (platelet rich plasma) is prepared by: 1. drawing blood from patient (autologous); 2. Centrifuging the blood; 3. separating red blood cells from platelet rich plasma. PRP is commonly used for orthopedic conditions and cosmetic purposes without serious safety concerns.
